Two Finite Classes of Orthogonal Functions
By using Fourier transforms of two symmetric sequences of finite orthogonal polynomials, we introduce two new classes of finite orthogonal functions and obtain their orthogonality relations via Parseval’s identity.
متن کاملTwo Classes of Special Functions Using Fourier Transforms of Some Finite Classes of Classical Orthogonal Polynomials
Some orthogonal polynomial systems are mapped onto each other by the Fourier transform. The best-known example of this type is the Hermite functions, i.e., the Hermite polynomials multiplied by exp(−x2/2), which are eigenfunctions of the Fourier transform. In this paper, we introduce two new examples of finite systems of this type and obtain their orthogonality relations. We also estimate a com...
متن کاملSome numerical results on two classes of finite groups
In this paper, we consider the finitely presented groups $G_{m}$ and $K(s,l)$ as follows;$$G_{m}=langle a,b| a^m=b^m=1,~[a,b]^a=[a,b],~[a,b]^b=[a,b]rangle $$$$K(s,l)=langle a,b|ab^s=b^la,~ba^s=a^lbrangle;$$and find the $n^{th}$-commutativity degree for each of them. Also we study the concept of $n$-abelianity on these groups, where $m,n,s$ and $l$ are positive integers, $m,ngeq 2$ and $g.c.d(s,...
متن کاملEquivalence classes of functions between finite groups
Two types of equivalence relation are used to classify functions between finite groups into classes which preserve combinatorial and algebraic properties important for a wide range of applications. However, it is very difficult to tell when functions equivalent under the coarser (“graph”) equivalence are inequivalent under the finer (“bundle”) equivalence. Here we relate graphs to transversals ...
